Ocean City Portraits | Ocean City Photographer | Nina K Photography

Right now in Maryland it is March…and it is snowing. I mean I am looking out my window at about 7 inches of freezing. cold. snow.

SO since I am sitting here dreaming of the beach days, I decided I would blog one of my favorite sessions from the beach this past summer.

I knew Katie way back in elementary school. I haven’t seen her since then, but thanks to Facebook we reconnected and she asked me to take her family’s photos. It is really cool to see someone after so long and see the great life they have created, kids, husband, and all.

This family looked like a model family on the beach!

Nags Head Wedding | North Carolina Wedding Photography | Nina K Photography

You know those couples that when you get their wedding invitation in the mail, you just know it’s going to be a blast? Well that is Anne & Jeremy.

They are long time friends of mine, and when they asked me to photograph their wedding in Nags Head, NC, I was so excited. I had never been there but I have heard so many people rave about how beautiful and relaxing it is…and they are right!

The coast is lined in huge houses that big groups of people and families rent. There aren’t tons of restaurants and things to do, because you are just supposed to relax and enjoy your time. It’s awesome.

Anne & Jeremy have great families who know how to have fun, so the weekend was a party to say the least!

It was taking place in October, so there was a chance it would still be a little chilly….but nope…it was about 80 degrees on the day of the wedding. Sunny and perfect…so perfect that there were many people laying out in the sun right behind the wedding ceremony that was happening in the sand! I had to ask some of them to relocate…haha!

Anne had a beautiful house on the water where she got ready. Her family all there to help, along with her closest girlfriends. Her dress hung in a window with a perfect view and all of the beachy details surrounded.

Jeremy was a few doors down getting ready in a house with his family and his soon to be step-son Owen. Owen was so proud to be at his mom’s wedding…and if you need proof, just check out the picture of his “first look” of his mom in her dress. My heart melts.

They took off to the ceremony in an old, fancy car that was too cool for school.

The reception was at a beautiful venue on the water, Jeanette’s Pier. The pier had a special meaning to Anne & Jeremy so we made sure to end the night with a kiss under the sign.

It was such a fun night and everyone was so happy. Pictures speak louder than words…check them out! Oh, and if you want to get married in NC…let me know!!!!

Wide Awake | Bowie Newborn Photographer | Nina K Photography

So many times the goal when photographing newborns is to get them sound asleep, because that makes for those cute, curled up shots, and that is always adorable…BUT it is also adorable when a newborn baby is wide awake! Their eyes are so bright and curious, even if they can’t see much yet.  They really seem like they are seeing the world for the first time and trying to figure out just what they are doing here!

This baby girl was just that. She was beautiful and so curious and content…and look at her skin! Flawless! Her parents were just over the moon for her…and her dad is pretty much wrapped around her finger for life!

Their house was beautiful, which is always a plus for photos, and her room perfectly girly.

And in the end, she even went to sleep for a few more shots 🙂newborn with bright eyesmaryland newborn photographernewborn white blanket basketblack and white family photonewborn on dads chestmaryland newbornnewborn lipsnewborn in lace photographybaby sleeping

Fenway Park Wedding | Boston Wedding Photographer | Nina K Photography

I love Boston. I have always wanted to shoot a wedding in Boston. So when my cousin Annette and her fiancé, Sean, asked me to photograph their wedding at Fenway Park, I was SO excited.

Boston has such a cool vibe. The people…like seriously I never met a person that wasn’t super friendly and helpful. And, there are so many different little towns and areas to discover.

Annette was glowing all day. She is huge Disney fan and really looked like a Disney princess with her big smile and beautiful dress.

They are huge hockey fans, too, so it made sense that Annette got ready in the Boston U Hockey themed room at the gorgeous Hotel Commonwealth.

Their ceremony was at the gorgeous St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.  Not a detail was missed.

Their reception was even hockey-themed! It began with an awesome cocktail hour overlooking Fenway Park, with music by Kavoossi Music, and donut bar (amazing).  It was such a great time.  The whole day was beautiful, classy, and fun.

Mother Daughter Photos | Severna Park Photographer | Nina K Photography

Mother-daughter photo sessions are some of my favorite. There is nothing quite like a mom and her daughter and the connection they have. A little girl looks up to her mom like no one else.

Photographing these sessions is so fun for me because they are FULL of love and emotion, even if they don’t know it. I have little girls, and let me tell you, it’s the best. (Boy moms, I know little boys are awesome too!)

Abby and her daughter have that special connection. Her little girl is freakin’ adorable. She loves horses, she’s full of life, and is a blast to photograph.  This year was a special one for them…and these photos show their strong bond.little girl peeking through fencemother daughter on fencemom girl kiss
